3rd Sanskaar TELL A TALE, Interschool Story Telling Talents Show 2011-12, to mark the Children’s Day.
The Chief Guests for the Prize Distribution Ceremony were Dr. Harish V. Joshi, Leading Physician and Diabetologist and Shri Subhash Joshi, Resident Editor, Vijay Karnakaka.
Children from more than 20 schools, nearly 50 from near and far, got the opportunity to narrate the stories in a spectacularly animated and enthralling manner. The three judges, Mrs. Shridevi Pradeep, Mrs. Bharathi Hublikar, Centre Head of Little Flower School and Mrs. Deepa Savanur, who enjoyed the narrations, announced results.

Interschool Fancy, Drawing and Debate Competition On Gandhi Jayanti Day
Shri. Madan B Desai, Past Governor, Lions International and an Industrialist inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Shri. Krishna Punji, District Governor, Lions International. Dist 324 D2 was the Chief Guest. Smt Hemalatha V, Smt. Rehana Kotwal were the judges for the Fancy Dress Show. Smt. Rashmi Pauskar and Smt. Aruna Khatawkar were the Judges for the Drawing Show. Prof. Hemant Krishna, Shri Uday Revankar were the judges for the Debate Show. All the guests joined in paying respects and tribute with garland and flowers on the portraits of Gandhiji and Shastriji. The toppers of the school were felicitated by the Chief Guests.

The Chief Guest and the Adjudicators, Mrs. Deepti Khona and Mrs. Bhavana Sanghavi, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. What started then was a mind-blowing, musical fashion display! UKG children were dressed up in various colours of bridal costumes of India: Rajasthani, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Maharashtrian, etc. LKG children were dressed up in seasons like winter, rainy, summer, different colours and dyes. MONTESSORI children were gorgeous in their fanciful costumes, like Goan, Angel, Sherwani Dress, and Arabian, Sai Baba etc.

Sub: Swaagat Divas, UKG Graduation Day and World Environment Day – 2011 Chief Guest, Dr. K. Ramachandra Rao, IPS, Commissioner of Police and the Guest of Honour, Shri. Uday Itagi, a leading advocate inaugurated the event.
The special moment was when, the Chief Guest handed over the Graduation certificates to our UKG children, who wore the robes and the graduating caps, akin to the University level. The First batch of 10th Std who gave a 100 % result to the school was felicitated by the Guests, as a mark of appreciation.

Election Process
Students of Xth, boys and girls were asked to file their nomination papers. The candidates were selected by the Election Commission Officers, on the basis of their behavior, academic standard, sense of responsibility, general conduct etc., Then the qualified candidates were given symbols by the Chief Election Commissioner. The candidates were later allowed time to canvas and solicit votes for their candidature. They even gave a speech for 2 minutes in the assembly. Students of IV and above exercised their franchise by casting their votes on specially designed software, akin to the electronic Voting Machine used in the country. The voters’ ID were checked, their signature taken and their finger marked with ink as the proof of voting.
The counting was done instantly on the computer.

Sub: Investiture Ceremony of ‘SANSKAAR SANSAD’, School Student Parliament-2011-12 and the Inauguration of Science and Literature Club, in Sanskaar School.
Sanskaar conducted a Democratic School Students’ Parliament Election on 14th of June 2010, to elect the “Head Boy” and the “Head Girl” of the school. The election procedure was exactly on the lines of the Democratic Parliament Election of our Lok Sabha and the Assembly elections.
Chief Guest, Dr. K.V. Thrilokchandra, IAS, Commissioner, HDMC, and Shri. Jayprakash Tenginkai, Industrialist & Hon. Secretary, Lions Eng. Med. School, Hubli inaugurated the event
Dr. K.V. Thrilokchandra,IAS, Commissioner, HDMC, lauded the exercise of imbibing the values of Democracy, because “Democracy is a value’, he said. ‘Democracy teaches us to make choices and make decisions’, he reiterated. Directing his words to the cabinet members, he said, “How you treat your classmates and your juniors as the Head and Deputies now, will set a tone for the rest of your future as leaders”. Recollecting the words of Swami Vivekanand, he told the children to dream big. He suggested all the children to put lot of emphasis on extra-curricular activities like, drawing, gardening, sports, etc. This, he spoke, during the Investiture Ceremony of Sanskaar Sansad, School Students Parliament – 2011-12 and the Inauguration of the Science - Literature and Jagruti – Environment Awareness Club, held today.
The Guest of Honour Shri. Jayprakash Tenginkai, Industrialist & Hon. Secretary, Lions Eng. Med. School, Hubli., said, ‘Education is a tool for success. It should always be kept sharp and shining’. He advised the children to have the desire to learn through out the lives.
The installation / inducting of the new members of the school parliament began with the Guests giving away the sash and the lapel with their portfolios.
